Congratulations to the WDDE-TV Studio on another amazing accomplishment during competition season!  For the first time in school history, Eisenhower won first place and second place at the annual midwest competition for high school videos.  “Dance Fever” by Quintin Turnbow and Keefe Haynes won first place in the movie trailer category.  “Missing You” by Brianna Smith won 2nd place in the music video category.

The 25th annual Midwest Media Educators Association Film Festival took place Friday April 27, 2018 at Nequa Valley High School.  There were more than 300 student projects from across the Midwest competing for top prize in various categories.

In the past 14 years of competing, Eisenhower has placed in the top three only four times previously.  This is only the second time in Eisenhower history that the TV Studio has won first place at the competition. Never before have we won first and second in the same year.

In addition, seven other Eisenhower projects were finalists:  “Find Your Sport” PSA by Nathan Altman, “This is Ike” school promo by Angel Rodriguez, “Behind the Scenes: 7-Day Challenge” news package by Estefania Gonzalez, “Dear Marina” in the 7-Day Challenge category, “Floating” Cinematography by Art Ibarra and Robert Webb, and “Repeat” comedic narrative by Cameron Williams
